A Word from Doris

Hello everyone.

I’m Doris and I am the coordinator of the Jumbunna Intensive Parenting Program (JIPP). The program has been funded by the Australian Government Department of Social Services until 2020 and supports families in the Casino and Kyogle regions. The program supports families by providing individual therapist support, home visiting, a supported playgroup, parenting programs (Triple P and Circle of Security) and school readiness programs (Parent Success for Goori families and Playing and Learning to Socialise Program (PALS).

I have been the coordinator of the program since 2008. Previously I have worked as a teacher and school counsellor and I am a registered Psychologist. I particularly like working at Jumbunna because I believe in the importance of early intervention to support families in these challenging times.

Creating Community Connections at Wardell Preschool!

The local Police Officer, Michael cam to visit Wardell Preschool today. He showed them inside and out of his vehicle, and spoke with them. This is a great learning opportunity for the children and raising their awareness of how the Police can keep them safe. Thankyou Michael.

Wardell Preschool had a visit today from one of our dads. The children were very engaged and interested. I am sure they will have lots to share with their families when they get home.

Register for My Family Lounge in 3 Simple Steps

Step 1

For NEW families to My Family Lounge, click on the REGISTER button on the right. You will then be taken through a registration process to create your MFL account. For families with existing MFL accounts, skip to step 2!

Step 2

Log into your MFL account and tell us about you, your child and what bookings you are after so we can help you out.

Step 3

If you have requested permanent bookings, we will come back to you within 48hours and advise if we have a spot available for your child. If we have a spot, we will email you an offer and ask you to accept the offer and complete and submit the Enrolment form in the MFL portal.
